Real Sovereignty in the Modern World System
Andrey Kokoshin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS affairs and ties with compatriots.

Moscow, Europe Publishing House, 2006, pp 88

Andrey Kokoshin is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and head of the RAS International Security Institute, dean of the International Politics Faculty of the Moscow State University. In this work, he examines theoretical and applied problems related to the «actual sovereignty» concept he put forward in the late ‘90s. Validity of this concept is illustrated, in particular, with the policy and achievements of such states as China and India. The author dwells on relevance of this concept for Russia, its foreign, defense, economic and scientific policies.

The publication targets both specialists and a wide circle of readers – lecturers, post-graduates and students of humanities colleges – all those interested in problems of world politics and the foreign policy of Russia.
