The global financial crisis is gaining momentum, and its consequences are already apparent. If Russia wants to not just survive in the economic upheaval but also to make new gains, it is time for it to act. In the post-crisis world, Russia has a real chance to become a new global financial center, which is an objective announced by president Medvedev. Yet what should be done to achieve this goal ? The authors suggest their unique experience of combining non-capitalized resources and investments in a working model of new entrepreneurship. Russia possesses all information, scientific, cultural prerequisites for designing a new future. There is but a single barrier – inertia of minds and habits of the power elites, which the author is addressing.
