Ankersmit Franklin Rudolf (born in 1945) – professor of intellectual history and historical theory of the University of Groningen (Kingdom of the Netherlands). An outstanding modern philosopher of history. An honorary member of editorial staff of the historic journals History and Theory, Rethinking History, CLIO, Historiography East and West, Journal of the interdisciplinary crossroad and the journal Feit en Fictie. Author of books: Narrative Logic (1983), History and Tropology (1994), Aesthetic Politics (1997), Historic Representation (2001), Political Representation (2001).
