TIMOFEI VYACHESLAVOVICH BORDACHEV (b. 1973)
A leading Russian expert in Russia – EU affairs, Cand. of Political Sciences, Director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies of the World Economy and World Politics Faculty, State University - Higher School of Economics (HSE), Research Programs Director of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Russia in Global Affairs.
In 1995, graduated from the history faculty of St.Petersburg State University.
In 1997, obtained a degree of Master of Arts in European Politics and Administration at College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium).
In 1998, defended a doctoral dissertation. In 1998 – 2001, held positions of researcher, senior and leading researcher at Russian Academy of Sciences (Institute of USA and Canada, Institute of Europe). In 2001 – 2003, served as “Pro et Contra” journal assistant editor at Carnegie Moscow Center.
In 1998, published his book «New Interventionism and Contemporary Peacekeeping», the first fundamental research of the subject in Russia. Expert in Russian-European affairs, EU foreign policy, European state - business relations, European and international security. Author of scientific works published in Russia and abroad.
