Georgy Georgievich Khazagerov (born in 1949) is a doctor of philology, professor at the Moscow state teachers' training university. Author of books and articles on rhetoric and Russian philology, including «Introduction to Russian philology» (2000), «Political rhetoric» (2001), as well as textbooks on rhetoric for higher education establishments. The sphere of special scientific interests includes ancient theories of style, as well as tropes and figures of speech in the theory and practice of Russian elocution. In the past decade, has taken an active interest in rhetoric as an institute of national state construction, which was reflected in his publicist articles and cultural studies.
